ASL After School Program
Kids LOVE to sign! It may just be the movements, the interesting way grammar is used on the face or the making of new friends that attracts signing youth. But attracted they are.
In our after school “Signing Youth” program, we designed fun learning activities to give young people between the ages of 10 – 13 their own space to learn ASL with their peers.
Your young patrons will meet weekly from 3:00p – 3:30p or 3:30p - 4:00p for 5/30 minute sessions.
In our lively sessions, youth learn:
·The Manual Alphabet.
·Shapes, Numbers, Names, Colors.
·Clothing and Greetings.
·Interesting facts about Deaf Culture – “Did You Know?”
·Finger spelling competitions.
·“Who knows that Sign” games.
The course includes:
5 – 30 minute sessions
Live experienced ASL Instructor.
Handouts listing of all the signs learned during the class.
Videos embedded in the handouts. These videos include an instructor signing the vocabulary learned during the live class. Awesome practice tool that your patrons can use again and again.
A recurring Zoom link.
A handy course announcement that you can revise.
